I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
